In the mid 60s my family moved into a house on Main Street in Bartlett. I think that it was at 128 main but could be wrong. It was the property where the city hall now stands. The house was very old and scheduled to be torn down for the new city hall.
We lived there for about 5 or 6 months while waiting to move into our home on eastern Avenue in Bartlett. The day that we moved in I went into the basement and saw a bricked wall area. My mother said that in the olden days rain water would be stored in there.

I had a strange feeling that there was more than water in it. It gave me the creeps. While in the Main Street home there was much ''after dark'' activity. My bedroom on the 2nd floor was haunted. Our dog would not enter the room even though he had always slept on my bed in the past.

Every morning my room would be torn apart. Everything on the floor drawers opened and emptied. I was scared and moved into another room. The same thing happened. My parent's room was on the first floor.
My mother said that she would hear the sounds of the kitchen being trashed at night. We had friends stay over and some saw the ghost. Then we moved into our house on Eastern Ave. (I will not give the address. Don't want to scare whoever lives there now) we were so happy to be out of the haunted house until...
The haunted house was torn down to make way for the new city hall. At that time our Eastern Ave. house became haunted. Many strange things happened throughout the house but mostly in my bedroom. I saw the ghost and things would fly around in my room. It began to disturb me and keep me awake at night making sounds all around my room.
