As a previous occupant of a property on the three thousand block on West Main Street in Belleville, I can attest to numerous unusual incidents. These included sounds of steps on the stairwell, banging on the attic door, and lights turning on/off, etc. The home was built in 1904 and has experienced a number of deaths. A local business owned and ran an ambulance service out of the home. Regardless of the reason, there is a strong feeling of uneasiness

when you enter the home especially alone. The home was sold and has remained unoccupied for years. It's no wonder!.

About 15 or 20 years ago on separate outings I felt / saw things in my mind's eye. At a scent/spice shop at the staircase (I was peeking through the lace curtain) I saw a skinny tall woman with black hair fixed like a bun. She wore a gray skirt and jacket, and she was disturbed anxious sorrowful like something bad had happened. Another time I was in an antique store, and in a corner I felt like someone was there -- a woman. Another time I was at the old time mall, and right away I did not like the air in there like it had trapped energy. When I sat on one of the benches I felt a woman by the elevator across the ceiling. I do not like these places with negative energy and won't go there again.
Later there was an article in the paper about these places, and I was very surprised that my feelings were real. .
