I grew up on 50 th ave in Bellwood IL. I slept in the first bedroom down the hall... The one with the attic access in the closet. When I was in 3rd grade I awoke to the sound of 2 people whispering extremely fast- I couldn't make out the words.
A smoky apparition slithered out of the closet- looked like a slinking dog. I didn't see the tail and the head was just the vaguest shape of a canines'. It went under my bed and something started kicking the legs

of the bed- harder and harder.
I was terrified and after god knows how long I ran from the bed flew open the door and headed for my parents room. My
|
mother also had an experience in that bedroom. My dad was on midnights so not wanting to disturb him she decided to take a nap in my bedroom- during the day.
She laid down and turned her back to the closet wall. After a while the closet door swung open hard enough for the door knob to make a loud sound on the adjoining wall. My mother turned to look and kept waiting for one of our cats to come out...
