I grew up in a house on S. Highland Avenue. We had something unidentifiable living in the house, living in the basement and attic. My oldest brother owned it from 1962 until he sold it in 1983 or 1984. It was a clear presence without form. I remember living in the attic dormitory. It wasn't frightening until after dark. The presence arrived in the dark. Some nights I left the light on all night long. I never wanted to be in the basement after dark alone either.

I asked my oldest niece who lived in the house and used the attic dormitory as a play room. She agreed that after

dark the attic and basement were off limits. I can't find any records of murders or other deaths that occurred in the house prior to my own father's death in 1982. Dad died at 7 p.m. on November 12th, 1982 in the west bedroom of the hall off the dining room. His death postdated the haunting.
However, interestingly, the day he died, he claimed to see his mother ''walking down the street letting down her long brown hair. '' Her name was Anna Clara. She
