I used to live in a rented farmhouse (about 100 years old) with two other people in Carterville. When I was there one night I had been dozing on the couch (friends were not home). I awoke suddenly and laid there a moment feeling unnerved; that prickly feeling that someone is watching you.
I turned my head to look down the hallway from the living room to the kitchen and there was a tall thin white man in a denim jacket and blue jeans short sandy kind of mussed up hair standing silently in the hallway staring at me.

There wasn't a sound. I turned away terrified no idea what to do as he was only about six feet away. I heard no sounds. Finally I got the nerve to look again and he was gone. No sound ever heard. I later told one of my roomates about my experience and she asked was it the man or the woman? So clearly she had seen things as well.
