Comment by anonymous: I also grew up in Fairmont City on 62nd Street. I too believe the same I have been protected by the Cahokians. I had a lot of weird things happen. As a kid I never paid attention to street names or things like that. I lived there until I was 24. I was just reading your comment and I named my youngest daughter Ramie. That just struck me as weird because her name is unusual. I have a picture taken recently and there are some bad faces in the picture. But underneath my arm is an Indian and one behind me on the wall. I feel protected too.

There has been a ghost referred to as the Kmart ghost. Recently after the store closes there has been strange sounds and movement. Most recently the sound of a woman crying has come from the restroom as well as the sound of someone pulling back the hammer of a gun.

There have been many sounds and strange happenings such as TV's turning off by themselves boxes flying off the shelves clothes racks rustling. I would like to know if anyone out there knows anything about what was on the property before Kmart.

The activity seems to come and go would really like to know what is causing it or shall I say who is causing all of the strange things that are happening. Submitted by Anonymous
Comment by A: If I remember correctly before Kmart, it was a Walmart (pre super centers).
