she did not like being at the farm alone after that. Now the ''third floor''.
A place people were punished when they owned slaves. Any time my older sisters tried to turn one of those two rooms into a bedroom we had four sisters and two little brothers so it would be like almost having your own apartment they never made it long before being frightened back downstairs.
Kathy my oldest sister lasted the longest. Three days! She told me she only lasted

that long because she was mad at mom. Patsy and Kathy spent all day moving beds ect. Up those steep narrow stairs.

up there it seemed like your body was going in slow motion. They fixed up their new bedroom having fun fixing it just like they wanted. They choose the room where the slaves were punished.
The first night patsy woke up. Maybe it was noises she heard or maybe it was this feeling that comes over you when the house intimadated you which it was very good at doing. Whatever it was she flew down to the second floor never to try sleeping up there again.
