I was a navy brat and we were lucky enough to live in colunbia in the late 1960's. We lived at the end of the country road. The farmhouse we lived in had three generations born and some died in this house.
The town gossip was the house was haunted. And they were right! We have many stories like constantly feeling like you were being watched noises ect. One night I was asleep in my bed with my sister.

For no real reason I awoke and looking towards the door I saw a white figure. It had no features. I was terrified! I pulled the covers over my head and later peeked back out. Nothing was there. The thing is we had a curtain hanging as a door.

It was open when I saw this ghost and closed when I looked back up from my covers. I never heard the curtain close and I should have as it made a lot of noise when closing. Another night my mother heard noises coming from the third floor.
Thinking it was us girls. She went up.. No one was up there and the light was on turned the light off came back down to check on us. We were asleep. She heard noises from upstairs again.. Checked on us..
We're still asleep.. Went upstairs.. Lights on again.. Turns off light.. Goes back downstairs.. And it happened again and again. Finally she quit going up there a little scared herself. Here is the kicker...
