I lived in Prentiss Creek in the 1970s. My backyard is now 355. When I lived there, it was fields for as far as you could see. The farmer still lived on 63rd in the farm house. I believe the house I lived in was haunted. When I was thirteen, I had a sleep over with in my basement. I told them of a nightmare that I had had regarding a girl ghost that had been causing fires and killing people. The dream took place in my house, a fire there, the shopping center at 63rd and Woodward, a fire there, and St. Joe's church. The girl was dressed in all white with dark hair and dark eyes, almost native American, but in old Prairie style dress. She smiled at me in the three scenes the most evil smile, and then the fires would begin.
In telling the story, a piece of furniture in the room moved right in front of my friends and myself directly at us. My dog ran away and would not return to that basement again willingly as long as she lived. We also heard pounding on occasion. We lived on a dead end, and sometimes lights would shine in as if a car was in the driveway, and none would be there. I have done some research on the land and found that the Indian Boundary Treaty line goes through my block if you were to draw the line on a map today. I believe this girl was angry, so when we sold the house, I returned to the empty house to say a prayer for her soul for peace. It made me feel better, because I always felt an evil/angry presence in the house.

The house I grew up in had a spirit in it. I don't believe he was a poltergeist. I felt his presence a few times. The far back bedroom was colder than the rest of the house. I saw an orb in that bedroom once.
I also saw an apparition walk across the hallway of a tall figure with a bowler hat. I also felt someone touch my shoulder in the living room when no one was around. This was on Sherman Avenue in Downers Grove.
