My boyfriend and I stayed in a small hotel in Evanston. I felt like I was not alone like I was being looked at. It was sort of creepy, but not really bad if you know what I mean. The place had been a hotel for young women who were typically studying for careers as secretaries and other things women could be back then. Honestly the presence felt like -- maybe! -- but felt like a young woman impressed and thrilled by modern women and their freedoms. I mean she even followed me to the bathroom!.

Main and Hinman, my good friend rented an apartment there. She was a single mother with a little girl. We painted the apartment and beautiful as it was, it felt creepy. A short time later, a salesman pounded on her door. Not knowing who was there, she opened it. He was giving her grief, when down the hall came the sounds of pounding feet, first soft, then louder and louder. The problem was that no-one was in the hall. She heard them, and so did the salesman. He looked at the source of the noise, and seeing no-one, left in a big hurry. A lot of other stuff happened in that flat as well, but that is a story for another day.

Walking down Sherman by the rug store which is like an alley but is considered Sherman ave. Lake and Sherman my friend and I were walking home and we saw a black large figure walking north towards us, and then my friend and I just go back to talking because we just think it's a person walking. But than we look again and the figure is completely gone and turned into the bushes on the east right under the metro tracks.
My friend and I look in the bushes and see nothing at all and hear nothing at all. Than we start to walk again, and once we get to Sherman ave and Dempster right next to the Mexican shop we look back and the figure walks out of the bushes, runs across the street, then runs back and it starts to walk. But it looks like it's walking and it's not moving at all.
