When I was 16 years old we rented an old farmhouse on Stringtown road in Evansville IL. People on my school bus had made the comment ''oh you live in the haunted house as I was exiting the school bus my first day.
I didn't think much of it at the time, because I thought they were just messing with me being the new girl as I was. However, I soon found out why they said that. One evening around dusk me and a friend were watching television in my bedroom.

were the only ones home at the time, I was hungry so I ran downstairs to grab a banana and ran back up with it because I didn't want to miss the program.

Just as I was entering the doorway to my bedroom I saw someone out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to my right and there stood a girl. She was around my age at that time and she was wearing a long dark skirt and buttoned up dark blouse, I could tell right away that these were clothes from an earlier era, she had long brown hair, and she just stared at me like she was as surprised to see me as I was to see her.
