In the early 1980's I was invited by a friend to come and visit them in Fithian. They had purchased a large, old, 3 story house there and were in the process of renovating it. The guest bedroom was on the ground floor and that was the room they assigned to me.
The first evening I was there, we decided to go out for a late dinner and dancing. We had gotten into the car when, at the last moment, I decided that I should bring along a jacket. I went back

inside the house through the kitchen door, through the dining room and living room and into the guest bedroom.
As I hurried back out of the room, I

clearly saw a small gentleman in an old fashioned brown suit standing behind the wing backed chair in the living room. I hurried a bit faster and joined my friends in the car.
Later that evening when we returned to the house, I told them what I had seen. It was then that they told me they knew the house was haunted. They had heard phantom footsteps and had other strange noises and activity.
They had assumed the ghost to be that of the builder
