As a child I lived in Harvey. The house that we lived in on 151 Street was haunted. Every night when the lights were out I saw a white mist come up at the foot of my bed. I covered my head but it tapped on the covers where my head was.
They do exist. Little kids probably see them more because their minds aren't polluted with science which has to have a logical explanation.

Right where 155th goes under the railroad tracks you can see the ghost of a man who was hit by a train. He was a maintenance man fixing something on the bridge when he was struck by a train and flew off the bridge and hit the ground.
They never figured out if he was killed by the train or from hitting the ground but either way you can see him fly off the east side of the bridge sometimes when a train passes.
