with one of the spirits in the daughter's bedroom. They tied a tennis ball to a string and hung it from the ceiling. Upon command the entity would start swinging the ball. They also did many EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) sessions and caught some great recordings.
My friend identified one of the reoccurring voices as that of the old man he purchased the house from. Evidently he was the spirit who was moving the tennis ball. One night when

he refused to move the ball he was heard on the recording stating that there were ''too many damn people in here. '' I swear some of the recordings they

got were the best I've ever heard. At one point they were walking around the backyard with the recorder and caught the sounds of a military platoon marching through the yard. The recording is crystal clear, and you can hear everything from marching feet to the clanking of metal.
We assumed at first that this was a residual sound from the Civil War, but when we checked it out we could find no records of military activity around Highland during those
