years. However, I dug a little deeper and discovered that there were lots of military troops in the area around Highland during the War of 1812. Eventually all the activity just faded away, but it all went on for several years. The house has been quiet now for about eight years or so. I live with my boss/friend on 6th Street in Highland near Lemon Street. When we first moved in we were told that the house was haunted. Everything was fine for the first few months. Then we started hearing footsteps, things being moved around, whispers, and even a faint sound of a little girl talking and laughing. His kids don't hear or see anything, just us. Whether it's him myself or the both of us. Just recently I was pushed down the stairs. I believe in the paranormal considering I grew up in a haunted house.
