I once lived off Charles Brown Park and distinctly heard children laughing in the wee hours of the morning while walking my dog; I was a night shift person, and he needed to be let out when I'd get home. There were no children there, and it always felt creepy. Also we had some poltergeist activities in my home; something kept bumping the side of my bed. My husband and I heard voices right after moving in that place.
My dogs barked at something in

the hall and sat down as if they were commanded to stop. Then they would look up at something in unison in the doorway. There was nothing there, but the
|
hairs on my neck stood up. I was tapped on the shoulder in the middle of the night, but no one was there. There is a memorial marker in the park near the play yard for a girl who died. Submitted by anonymous

I worked at Winchester house in Libertyville, IL and there are countless stories among the employees seeing apparitions of people in clothing from a different era and feeling cold chills in certain areas.
