I worked at the Carson Pirie Scott store at the Lincolnwood mall for many years before it closed. Numerous times I heard whispering voices in the back stock rooms when there was no one around. The whole place seemed like it was cursed. Elevators and escalators would break down constantly even right after being repaired. Power would go out. There were floods of sewerage coming from the upper level restrooms through the ceiling and onto the lower level.

Customers were constantly falling and getting hurt. The amount and consistency of strange things going on in that store were so unnatural. I found out the whole place was built over an Indian burial ground. Native Americans had been forced out from the area in the late 1700s and did not have time to rebury their loved ones. Now this all makes sense.

I work in the Lincolnwood mall in Lincolnwood Illinois. In 2003 a 5 year old boy was killed in the express store by a falling 300 lb mirror. To this day the employees hear children's laughter a ball being bounced screams.
I work a floor below the store and at night after everyone is gone but employees and security you can hear giggles and screams in the hallway. Some people can hear them and some cannot.
