I lived on N. Garfield in Lombard for 5 years . Our house was very haunted. The lights, TV, stereo, and alarm clock would go off and on. My dog would growl at nothing and whine . Often things would go missing or be moved. Once I felt that he stroke my hair while lying in bed. Many more odd things happened over the years, and we just got the used to it. This ghost seemed harmless and just wanted to play games and be recognized. We never felt scared, but I did get annoyed often.
We moved because we needed a bigger house, but that house seems to have sold many times since, and I wonder if this is why. I search from time to time online to see if any other owners had this experience so far, no luck. I always had an odd feeling that the ghost was a male child . Now being gone for 15 years I kind of miss the spirit and wonder if he is still haunting my old place.

My parents told me this story from when I was a baby. When we first moved into our house in the middle of the night my mom woke up to a weird noise. So she went to the basement and flicked the lights on to find our sander on the floor turned on. The creepy thing was that the sander wasn't even plugged in, and the spot she left it was too sturdy for it to have fallen by itself. She would've been able to tell if someone or something was in the house. Every night when I'm asleep I always hear voices and footsteps. Sometimes I feel like I'm being watched, but I haven't been hurt or attacked. Submitted by Luke

I grew up in Lombard on Main Street and the house I grew up in was very haunted. I wish as a kid I had not heard or seen the things I witnessed. Opening, closing, locking, and unlocking doors, footsteps, voices, phone calls from inside the house, visions of past people and events and some of it was interactive.
