There's this park where 213th dead-ends. I live nearby and I go there sometimes. Sometimes when I go there I notice a blurry see through figure in the middle of the grass field. It looks like a statue of a person made out of glass or ice or something like that.
When I go closer to it it vanishes from sight when I get close enough. It's not an optical illusion because when I walk backwards to where I saw it from it will still be gone. If it was an illusion it would reappear when you back up to the same position.

No this thing seems to consciously disappear when approached and then stay hidden. Does anyone know of the history of this park that might explain what this is?.

Comment by Mario: I live close by there too, I think your talking about Memorial Park by Huth right? I know that it was made as a memorial for WW2 veterans, also if you look there is a cemetery close by there reserved for WW2 vets. So maybe you saw the ghost of a WW2 veteran.
