I was stopped at the light at Meyers Rd and 31st / oakbrook heading southbound. Shortly after the light turned green about 50 feet ahead I caught a fleeting glimpse of what looked like a silhouette of a man standing in between my Lane and the northbound lane.
But it wasn't exactly a silhouette; you could see through it just like the predator. At first I thought it was an optical illusion because it happened at the exact time I passed by a yellow road sign; like one of those optical illusions where you shift your eyes after staring at Jesus for 30 seconds and still see it.

However not 200 feet later a fox or coyote crosses the road from my left to my right. Then. About 100 feet after that I see a white mist just form ahead of my car in the other southbound lane. My dad's buried at Clarendon Hills cemetery...

Could it have been my late dad warning me of potential danger ahead?.

Comment by Tony: I too experienced something very similar driving on the ramp leading from route 83 to 31st St. It was very dark so he looked like a white speed limit sign at first. I was caught by surprise when I glanced to my right and saw a man standing near the edge.
He was wearing a light blue button down with whitish or tan pants.
