nothing, but I never felt comfortable alone again.
In 2007 my mom passed away in the home due to a massive heart attack. In May of 2017 my father passed away in a hospice. Two months later a young single father and his four-year-old moved in. In January of 2018 the house caught fire, and the man and son died. The house was a total loss. To date the fire has yet to be explained. My father had five smoke detectors in the house, all of which were

going off when fire crews arrived. I never searched the history of the home, but I do know it was well over one hundred years old.

I have visited this house multiple times. The story goes that he chopped off his wife's head with a scythe and killed his children before tossing their bodies in a nearby well. There is in the middle of the yard a large tree with an old scythe blade lodged in it. The tree has literally grown around the blade, so it was not placed there. I visited in 2005 and discovered the blade.
