empty chairs were stacked in a pyramid upright and all facing in the same direction. We were stunned and speechless. There was no one in the yard, and the snow where the chairs were stacked had not been disturbed within twenty feet. We couldn't believe it.
The dogs who barked at anything and everything had not made a sound. I went over to check it out and couldn't see how they could be stacked like they were. I knocked the chairs down and tried to duplicate

it but couldn't, no matter how hard I tried. One friend was so freaked out that even today he doesn't want to talk about it.

nearby Kite River used to be inhabited by the Blackhawk Tribe, and there's a huge statue of Chief Blackhawk nearby. Maybe some of them are still there and just wanted to get our attention. It worked. It's not very frightening but is truly bizarre. If you want to see the location where it happened, it's at the dead-end of Sarah Lane on the right side, and the firepit is still there today.
