On June 17th, 1993 Katie M W died on a rural county road next to my house on a strip we call the ''S Curve''. She was thrown from a pickup truck, and my mother was the first on the scene after calling 911. She was with Katie as she died. Katie visited my brother and I in our bedrooms every other night until we moved out in 1998. She appeared to me dressed in white. I remember never being able to see her face, but I could see straight through her. She

would sit on the edge of my bed and look at me. Katie routinely visited my mother and would turn on the television, bathroom, and faucets. She would rock

in the wicker rocking chair and leave bouquets of my mom's fake decorative flowers on her bed. Mom always saw Katie as one might see a living human being. Katie is still there so far as I understand from talking to old friends. The house is down from a bridge that goes over the Salt Fork River and has a large red barn that can be seen from the road. Less than a half mile down is where Katie died.
