Frankly I don't think the Saunemin Giant is a ghost. It seems more like a Bigfoot in most of the reports I've read about. One report said a farmer captured one in a barn, but it broke out with brute force. A ghost wouldn't need to do that. As for sightings indicating transparency, that could be an illusion created by the foggy areas around the creek where it's been sighted. I've heard there is a restaurant in town that may have a picture of it on the wall,

but that's speculation.

I had heard of the Saunemin giant, but I always thought it was a Bigfoot rather than a ghost. I'm not from Saunemin, but I used to have relatives there and heard about it. 5 Mile Creek apparently has some wooded areas, but the real ''hotspot'' was supposed to be where it entered the Vermillion River as far as strange sightings go. Maybe they should set up lots of trail cams there to see what comes up. This would make a good story for the local paper too, so maybe they could send a reporter there. 5 Mile Creek Cemetery is nearby too.

I used to go hunting with my father uncle and cousins by the Vermillion river... My cousins told me stories of a giant ghost... I thought they were just trying to scare me.. Never saw one but now I would be scared to go back home and walk that river.. Freaky that so many say the story is true !!.
