We were living in a house on north Second Street, and we would see shadows in it. I also saw a shadow in the basement of a house on north First Street about a block away.

I don't know much about the matter, but of course like all towns there's an urban legend near my neighborhood. Across the street a while back it was said to have a woman run out with a plastic bag (we aren't sure) over her head screaming. Every now and then you'll see a figure with a yellow shirt black pants blank expression, and she'll be walking to that one specific house. The thing is that's when she disappears. We were outside playing basketball when I first saw her, and I turned around curiously to see where someone was going at almost three in the morning. The second I was at Simma Park once again around the devils hour (it was summer, give me a break.) But yeah this is probably a really old thread. I don't have pictures because you know how movies go; those never work.

Vandalia Illinois. West Edwards Street. I lived there until I was eight and my whole family my mom dad big sister and little brother had all noticed unusual things going on in that house. My sister and I were playing with a red ball upstairs and it fell over the edge that led downstairs.
All of a sudden it bounced back up. We thought it was my little brother playing tricks so we checked it out but no one was there. So we sat back down and continued playing. I was intrigued by what was happening so I purposely threw the ball over the edge and as it rose we could see hand indentions in it as it bounced back.
We were playing ball with a ghost! My dad and mom encountered some odd things too. I was born and was in my crib in the den was about three months old and my older sister didn't live with us, and my baby brother wasn't born yet.
