Comment by Rai: Fifty years ago there was a riding stable on the corner the fire dept is. I used to go there on weekends to go riding, could be the smell.

My friend spent the night at my apartment and woke up to find a German Shepherd by my night stand looking for something. Before then about five years ago an entity picked him up by the collar and tried to throw him out of the window I walked in the room and he was put down and I bumped into his/her foot and did not see anyone.

Fishing is a sport that many residents of Waukegan IL enjoy at the mile long pier. In it's heyday many residents would arrive in the early mornings of July and August to fish for perch, which were plentiful and always a success at local Friday fish fries.
Many persons would see old Mr. Mathon and his tug boat leave the harbor for the early catch of the day where it was served up at the mathon fish and seafood restaurant down near the lakefront next to the bait shop and coal yards that were profitable ventures in their day.
