I used to work at a company in Westmont, IL. During my lunch breaks I would go to Bemis Woods in Western Springs, IL to walk through the forest preserve. I would park at Dean Nature Sanctuary and take the trail through Bemis Woods to a parking lot in the middle, and then I would walk back to my car.
One sunny warm day I was walking the trail going back to my car when I encountered a girl, walking the same trail towards me. She was about 9-10 years old

and was wearing a black dress almost down to her ankles. As we passed each other, I said hi, and she said hi back. I found it unusual that such a young

girl was walking through the forest preserve all by herself and that she was wearing a dress that looked like something a girl would wear in the 1920s or 1930s. Other than those two things, nothing else was unusual about her.
After I came home, the thought came to me that maybe the girl I saw was a ghost because of the dress she was wearing. I searched the internet for ''ghost of Bemis Woods'' but found nothing.
