Comment by Jason: I literally grew up in that park.. We used to play there at all hours of the night.. Never had any ghostly experiences. I've lived in Zion my whole life and was here when the little girls were sadly murdered even helped in the search parties when girls weren't initially found.
After reading your story my friend and I (we have a group of paranormal investigators) decided to debunk your claims. The children laughing and giggling can be attributed to not only the park that's right there but also the numerous houses that line the entire south /southeast side of the nature walk (bridge) our batteries were fine with exception of 1 piece of gear we saw shadows as well but can be wrote off as it's a wooded area and shadows form everywhere.
All in all we spent vast amount of time here with EVP mel-meter k2 and voice box.. Did not have 1 experience in numerous spots throughout. In our opinion the most you'll find here is nature and the occasional bike rider.
Nothing supernatural in our opinion.

My cousin and / or uncle told me bout the woods behind my house. I live in Zion on 27th and Lewis and I'm 11. They said that this lady lived in the woods behind where I live and she was a witch. She had a daughter and a baby and their cousin was there.
The lady murdered them all. One was named Esperonza and I feel bad for them. The lady cut the baby's neck and it was still crying so she chopped of her head. My cousin was upstairs with us and he ''says'' he can talk to spirits.
