I lived out in the Crest Wood neighborhood, and I always felt this horrifying disturbing presence when I was there alone especially at night. I looked up the house's history. The owners who lived there before the people we bought it from were all killed on the property.
The husband fell off of the roof and broke his neck. He died two days later. The daughter was found dead without explanation in the laundry room. The mother was killed in a car

accident down the road from the house. All of these deaths happened back from 1928 to 1934. I was beyond terrified when I found out, so I told my parents.

They researched it and approached the local authorities to determine whether or not it was true. They looked in their files and told us, ''It had been reported at a time, yes.''
We decided to hang in there until my parents woke up to our fireplace blasting in the middle of the night. We locked the doors, threw out the keys, and left the house. We moved in with my aunt until we had our own apartment in Winfield. That house still sits abandoned
