I grew up in Beaumont right behind the hotel. Ever since I was little the adults would whisper about the possible hauntings through town. The best known is the cowboy in the hotel. Although I am not sure of the history I have seen a figure in the top floor windows. I have always felt as though someone was watching me whenever I was there. I know there are other accounts of hauntings and the hotel, but since I didn't witness it I'll leave those be. Maybe

it's the fact the town is slowly turning into a ghost town, but walking Main Street you seem to get a chilled feeling that history was sad there. Just

north of town there is a cemetery. Just east of the old filling station there are so many little graves of children that passed of sickness. You would get an overwhelming feeling you shouldn't be there. I went with my mother to fix graves that had fallen over and tidy up flowers, but I cut the trip short because the overwhelming feeling of anger and possessiveness. Would love to investigate either stop.
