It reminded me possibly of a group of spirit children at first but don't know how it changed. Submitted by Joe

I still live on post but no longer live in McClellan Place. I heard and see many things over the time I lived in that particular house. The freakiest thing I ever saw was a shadow person. One time it scared my daughter bad. The worst part about it was the constant tension/fear and knowing I couldn't just move. As soon as I deployed I let the house go. Submitted by Fletcher1985

While stationed on Ft. Riley as an M.P. between the years of 1992 to 1996 I was witness to numerous strange goings on mainly on the old post. One of the main things that always happened on the Midnight shift was that during stormy nights the Museum alarms would sound, and the front door would be open. We would have to call the POC to come and reset the alarm, and this would take an hour or two as they lived in JC, plus they are civilians. While waiting we would have to clear the building. This also would take about an hour. The first thing you would see is the old soldier with rifle as you enter. It would scare the crap out of you. Once the building was cleared and nothing found, the civilian would reset the alarm and clear for the night until the alarm would sound again, usually in an hour. Having done some research of the museum, it was told to me by the then-curator that during the cholera epidemic that the ground was frozen solid, so they had to bury the dead under the museum which was once a hospital.

Next at the outdoor chapel which sits off First Division Road there is an old pet cemetery back in the woods to the west of the actually monument. On dead nights you can go up to the area and see strange things moving in the area.
In the days of the Function site while it was still there before it was closed and demolished there was an old theater on the site when it was an old prison according to the older guys that were there when I got there. They told a story of a female nurse during a riot in the old prison was chased by some prisoners and killed at that door to the theater. When the prison was still there you could go to the door, and if there was dew on the door you could still see her hand prints on the door.
Up on Trooper on Ernie Pyle Road we would sit and run radar at night with our head lights facing the guard rails with our headlights off and our markers lights on. Two times this happened at the same time around 0200; the reflectors on the guard rail would disappear and reappear as if someone was walking down the road. The shape of something dark could be seen as it headed south on trooper.
