Ft Riley ask an M. P they work the night shifts. I know a lot of other things I have seen, but I would be typing for a while.
Lastly, I do agree that a lot of the hauntings are of old soldiers that did not want to leave. I myself Love Ft. Riley, and the history of the old post. Maybe I would go back and haunt it also as in all my travels with the U.S Army, it was my favorite Post. Submitted by Svr 92-96

We moved in one week ago. The first night a storm came through and lasted for at least six hours. The second night I heard one of my children crying. I walked up the stairs where I thought they were, and nothing. Both the children were sound asleep. I hear noises coming from my bathroom, the tub more specifically. My daughter took pictures of the house in negative (She is 6.) A big black cloud is hovering in the hall by my living room, and there is no light there. It shouldn't be black. I tried to take the picture again to see if it would show the darkness again. It didn't. The picture looks fake not worth posting up, but I'm terrified. My husband is still home, but when he gets deployed this thing will be here with us. I live in McLellen.

I was stationed at Ft. Riley from 200-2006. My first BN CDR told us this story in the tower at his last gunnery before he PCS'd. He lived on main post, and his wife just had a baby girl. When they brought her home from the hospital weird stuff started happening. They would hear footsteps upstairs when no one was up there. One time they returned from a PX trip with bags of baby diapers and set them on the floor in the baby's room while unloading the car. When they went back in the baby's room to put the diapers away, they had been put in the storage of the changing table.
Last incident had been only a few days before he told us the story. Baby had been asleep in the bedroom upstairs. Then she woke up and started crying. They heard her through the baby monitor. He went up to get her, and as he reached the top of the stairs, she stopped crying. He turned the corner into the room and for a split second thought he saw a woman in a white dress bending over into the crib. Blinked and it was gone, and the baby started crying again. He found that during/after WW1 the Spanish flu swept through Ft. Riley, and killed a lot of soldiers and family members.
