In this house, a baby and her nanny died from the Spanish flu. He thought it might have been the ghost of the nanny, trying to take care of his baby. His wife didn't like the idea of anything in the house, and moved ahead of his PCS to buy a house, off base. He got left at Riley for about 3 months, alone, in a house that he knew had at least 1 ghost. .

I served at Fort Riley as a military police in 1971-1972. While on patrol one night around 2:00 in the morning I was driving my Jeep from Custer Hill to the main post. As I approached the bottom of the hill off to my left I saw a woman dressed in a long dress wearing a bonnet. Along side her stood a girl about age 10 and a boy around age 8. The girl was dressed like the woman. The boy was wearing short pants like knickers and hat. I wondered what they were doing out here in the middle of nowhere this time of night. As I got closer I could see through them. By the time I reached the spot where they had been standing they had disappeared.

I lived on Paddock Rd. Across from the new PX and we would hear people running up and down the stairs at the same exact time every night but when we would go upstairs my younger siblings would be sound asleep.
The cabinets would also open and at night. Sometimes when you look out the back sliding glass door you could see someone standing behind you. One night I was laying in bed making sure my alarm was set for school and I put it on my night stand and it felt really cold and it seemed as if someone just came and sat next to me on my bed. I jumped up and ran to my mom's room and we were sitting there listening for something else to happen and my TV volume turned up all the way. The next day and since then our big black German Shepherd would keep away from my room as much as possible.
