where I had a door that went into the hall and a pocket door that opened to her room next door. She would not have come in the hallway door if I hadn't woken her up. Years later I remembered that one of my friends who would spend the night from time to time said that he was always creeped out about how my sister wandered around the house at night in her white nightgown. I don't think who he saw was my sister.

Comment by EJH: I read your story and had to comment on it. Our family lived on Sheridan Avenue from 1974 to 1978. In fact I just submitted my story to this site. One of my friends from high school lived in one of those houses around the same area you're talking about. They also had a lot of activity in their house as we did. Nothing really scary just unusual!.

I was with the Air Defense Artillery at Ft. Riley between late 1993 to March of 1996. Once in the field in the northern training areas out by Keats Gate, I was a driver for a Bradley Stinger Vehicle and was on guard duty between the hours of midnight and 0200. Our vehicle was in protected position where only the main gun is visible from the hole. I was looking through the infrared vision and poking up through the hatch to check things out. I ended up resting my chin on the lip of the hatch and just looking out at the tall grass blowing in the cold wind quite so quite.
