I then remember it getting extremely cold as I heard horses at a gallop. I looked to my east as I was facing northeast, and I saw three Cav. Soldiers on horseback in ''Custer'' era uniform. When the lead soldier with sergeant stripes got off his horse and turned to the other two. (Now think I'm guessing at this time I'm approx. 125m. away from them and can hear him clear as a bell like he's directly in front me. ) He said to them ''SHHHHHH walk your horses

realized I've been asleep, and it was just so cold that I could see my breath. I closed that hatch and didn't come out until my T. C. woke up and took over guard duty.
A few weeks later I was renting a room at the on post inn because my wife was finally joining me at Ft. Riley. While there I was reading the in-room three ring binder and saw a tab that read ''Ghost Stories of Ft. Riley. '' Intrigued, I flipped to the page and read the story of
