My grandparents owned a farm house several miles south and a mile or so west of Home, Kansas. My mother grew up in this house which is across the road from a cemetery, which they helped maintain when they lived there. There are many stories of ghost activities, but one of the scariest stories was the time my grandfather took the kids to town to see a movie, and my grandmother was home alone cleaning the house. The house has double French doors between

the kitchen and the living room. My grandmother was cleaning the window panes in the door and saw a man's face looking back at her. She was startled and

jumped back and thought there was a man in the house. I believe it scared her bad enough that she went outside and waited until everyone returned home again after that incident.
They also had numerous times when things would be moved about the house at night when everyone was asleep. This happened most of the time in the kitchen. Salt and pepper shakers and other kitchen items would be moved around from counters to tables. The other thing that commonly
