remember the look on her face when I asked about the house. My grandmother was a religious Catholic woman. She had her priest bless the house many times while they lived there. She did not like to talk about it, but everyone knew the stories. I never knew these stories when I was little. We stayed there overnight when I was six or seven. I do not think a night went by that I did not have nightmares about ghosts when we stayed there. I never knew about

any of these stories until I was a teenager.
Some of the unexplained things that happened there seem to follow my grandparents when they moved

to Frankfort in the 1970s. The weirdest story was the time my grandmother was home alone after my grandfather passed. The neighbor across the street called my grandmother to ask if her daughter's family was visiting from out of town. My grandmother told her ''no, why do you ask?'' The lady said ''I just wondered because I could see the lights were on upstairs in the bedroom. '' My grandmother said she might have left the light on when she was upstairs sewing.
