We moved into the house in the Houston Whiteside historic district at the end of 2009. It was originally built as a duplex in the early 1900's but we wanted to turn it into one large 4 bedroom house so we opened up one wall upstairs and 2 walls downstairs.
Everything was fine until we cut the openings out. My husband was working nights and one night after the work was done I woke up to the brightest light you could ever imagine and it was so cold. I went out into the hallway (upstairs) and watched the light come up the stairs and get brighter and brighter.

At the end of the light a woman in a red skirt suit and glasses with her hair pinned neatly up stood there glaring at me. I slid down the wall and begged her not to hurt my kids who were asleep in their rooms across the hall (which was originally the other half of the duplex).

She turned around and went down the stairs and the light went with her. After that I saw her all the time. She would sit on my daughters bed and stroke her hair while she slept and look at her adoringly.
She didn't pay much attention to my son but didn't harm him. She stared longinly at my husband all the time and would look at me like she wanted to kill me or something. One day while everyone else was gone I went to the basement to do laundry and felt something push on my back with a lot of force.
I flew to the bottom of the stairs and when I looked back up the stairs she was standing there staring at me with a smirk on her face. Another time she pushed me down on the ground in the yard... My family was right behind me (walking to our truck) and saw it happen.
