The other night I was sitting in my back yard with my friend. She came over around 10 pm because my mom and stepdad had some friends over for a cook out. It was super dark, and the only light we had was the light from the fire, and me and my friend were at the end of the yard. We were telling each other ghost stories, and all of a sudden it got really quite. (oh and btw I didn't believe in ghost. ) I was closest to the alley, so it was a bit creepier. I looked over into the alley and saw a tall black figure; I want to say it looked like the slender man, but slender man is just a bunch of bull. I looked over at her and said ''did you see that?'' She said ''see what?'' I said ''something just walked down the alley.'' I looked back over, and a tall man was staring at me. I said to my friend ''look now!'' She looked and didn't see any thing. The figure started disappearing into the alley, and I never saw it again.

I used to live at 4th and Star. You know, that empty lot? It has been empty since 1988, when lightning struck my house and burned it down. I'm fairly certain they have not built anything on the land because the ghost still roams that property, house, or what not. I visited the Strawns a couple of houses down a few years back, just to ask a few questions. They were best friends with my grandparents when they lived in that house. I asked them if they knew who lived there prior to my grandparents. They told me a magician had lived there with his wife. They wanted kids, and his wife died during child birth. After being a magician for many years, entertaining children, he supposedly died in the house. This answered all of my unanswered questions.
He liked to hide in the back closet in my room. I was so creeped out by that closet. I begged my father to figure out a way to hang curtains in the doorway, as it had no door. He did, but it didn't stop the ghost from making regular appearances at the foot of the bunk bed I shared with my sister.
When it was bedtime, he would come out of the closet and rest both of his forearms on my bed frame, rest his chin on his overlapping hands and watch me till I fell asleep. Every night that happened my sister saw a pair of legs, from the bottom bunk. This did not stop until many years later, when I was old enough to rearrange my room. When I did, I placed the foot of the bed toward the doorway that lead to the dining room, where there was always light, because we NEVER EVER shut that door.
