fear and curiosity at the same time. All I could do was just watch and wonder if I was having a nightmare and dreaming, but the terrible part is that I was awakened and knew I was not dreaming. Submitted by S

Once, on my walk to school about two years ago, I had a feeling of dread. I was battling depression at the time, so I didn't think much of it. I continued to walk a bit. I had to stop and turn around because I had a feeling of being followed. No one was there. When I turned back around, towards the school, a man stood less than an inch from my face. I blinked from shock, and he was gone. I ran home and told my mother about the occurrence. I was allowed to stay home that day.

The next day, however, on the walk to school, I had the same feeling of dread. It seemed stronger than it had before. I knew something was up. I then had the urge to turn around again, but I couldn't bring myself to. I ran towards the school when I fell. It was almost like something grabbed my ankle. I fell forward and had a weight on my back, not unlike a skinny human sitting on me. I picked myself up and ran. I swear I saw a man sitting on the ground as I passed. I didn't get a clear look, so I couldn't be sure.

I rode the bus for the rest of the year. The bus didn't take me back home, though. I usually got a ride from my father. After he deployed overseas, I had to walk. Walking went fine for a while until the feeling of dread returned. Then I felt as if something was following me home. If something was following me, I didn't want it to know where I lived, so I took a left instead a right and headed to the grocery store. I stayed there until my mom's shift was done at her work. Then I walked home. The walk home was normal, thank god.
The last thing to happen was when I went to that same grocery store with my mother. I went down the aisle to get something, a peach tea I think, maybe a Monster, when I had that feeling of dread I hated so much. I grabbed my drink from the shelf and right behind it was about half of a man's face. The other half was hidden by the rest of the cans. A single eye pierced into mine. I shrieked, of course. I blinked, and again, his face was gone. It's been a year, and nothing has happened. I'll update if anything else happens. Submitted by Alex
