A year ago on August 15th, my dream became reality. I was finally opening my antique shop in the building I had coveted for many years. The building/house/shop was built in the late 1800s or early 1900s as a duplex. One of the first residents was the first doctor in Lenexa and his wife. The doctor had his office downstairs in the basement including a surgery area. In the mid to late 1930s through the 1980s the building was divided up into several apartments. It

then became a single family dwelling and went commercial in the 1990s. Many people have traveled through the building and the land. The first day I got

the keys my daughter and I smudged the entire three floors of the building, just because it seemed like the thing to do.
The activity began that night with items being moved around, hearing someone walking around upstairs and snippets of conversation. I dismissed it all and did for a couple of months. I kept telling myself I was tired and overworking myself. Then I started seeing this black mass running up and down the stairs. This was harder
