I tried communicating with the spirits several times but I never get any answer which is unfortunate because I'd really like to get to the bottom of whatever is going on in our house. The house was built in 1887 and is one of the oldest houses in the city.

I worked at the old hospital at McLean and Central for a time after it became a day center for the elderly. Several unexplained things happened there over the years. One time a group of people were sitting around, and for no reason the outside door on the east side flew open. No one was near that door. Another time the stereo came on and then shut off, and no one was near it.

There were pillars in the room, and one day a fellow employee placed a wheelchair next to the pillar. The wheelchair brakes were locked, and it just rolled across the room on its own. After checking the wheelchair, the brakes were still locked. The wheelchair belonged to a client who recently passed away.

On the north end of the building is a set of elevators. The one on the west side automatically opens when you walk by. No one is in or near the elevator when the door opens, and there is a cold spot when you get near the elevators. We were told to say thank you when it happened.

A while back at my middle school, one of the teachers had gone up to the second floor men's bathroom. He reported seeing a figure of a girl in the mirror behind him. Thing is, he is not a liar. He would not lie. He was just washing his hands, and he reported feeling a chill. Then he saw the figure, but when he turned around it was gone.
