I was in Arrow Rock back in 1978 or 1979 working with a theater. I went to Arrow Rock, Missouri when I was young to perform puppets. The town was great, no police antebellum, homes, and kind people. Two restaurants, plus you could walk around anytime you wanted and never worry about people bothering you. There was just one mayor who handled the fire department. rehearsal I walked back to the building where the actors had their own rooms. To get there you had to walk through a very small town, and the sidewalk

was made of wood! I found out that they did the last movie about Mark Twain here because it was the only place that still looked like the period when Mark Twain lived. The town folk bought all the land around Arrow Rock to keep control over who they would allow in their community. They wanted to preserve all aspects of the town and did not want any new people or businesses in their little town without going through a process where they determine who would
