Comment by Michael: I am curious about why you had to drive 50 miles to buy beer. Marshall Boonville and Slater are all less than 20 miles from Arrow Rock and you could have gone there to buy beer. Shoot in 1978 they wouldn't have checked Id even if you were wearing your High School letter jacket that said you would graduate in 1980.

I grew up in Marshall MO. My father is a judge there. When I was younger my brother and I used to work at the tavern and wash dishes... I was about thirteen years old at the time if I recall. It's kind of errie that the place is built on top of catacombs and it's all Indian burial grounds I believe...
But I mean come on... Where haven't Indians been buried... But it is quite spooky. Other than the Salem cemetery ''non-endowed'' cemetery ''interested relatives call... '' Arrow Rock takes the prize for the spookiest place I've been.
