would have seen or heard them. As far as we were aware, there weren't any entrances to the basement that wouldn't require smashing a window or something. I believe that it had to have been some kind of ghost or other paranormal thing. It couldn't have been a wild animal either. The movements and noises were too human to be some kind of wild animal. I lived in the Thessalia subdivision on the NE Side of town. We moved into a brand new house. My first experience was while I was alone in the basement; a voice of a woman said ''hello'' to me.

I lived in the house for eight years. The smoke alarms would go off. It would always be in the middle of the night, just one or two beeps to wake us up even though the smoke alarms were hardwired to the house and had fresh batteries.
Eventually I had kids. My son's police car would make noises when the kids were in bed asleep. I would hear it go off, and I would get up to tell my son to go back to sleep. He'd be snoring in bed, so I took the batteries out. The police car continued to go off by itself without batteries. It went into the trash.
I've seen the lid to the trash can flip open and close by itself. I've seen an ''object'' fly through the air and heard it smack the dining room table hard, but when I walked over to see what it was there was nothing there. My 2-year-old even asked ''mommy what was that?''
