I have stayed many nights in the house in the Boogey Woods you documented earlier this year. That love seat is where I slept. The upstairs has a very strong presence.

Definitely hauntings in Dexter, Missouri. Especially in my childhood home. There have been many sightings and many experiences so bear with me.

1. My grandfather or another kind spirit. After my grandfather's death, my home began to embody a haunting. I would sit in the living room and you could see the indentation lower as if someone were sitting down casually in the recliner. If I laid in bed, the space on the edge beside me would do this often. The feeling of my hair moving, or a hand on my shoulder at random times would come about. My fiancé (new boyfriend at the time of this happening) was leaving one day and when he looked back, could see an old man smoking a cigarette on my front porch. As he described him, it was definitely my grandfather.
2. A poltergeist... Or something else evil in nature. My friend and I lived in terror of this. My mother had seen it, my grandmother (who is in denial of all things paranormal, as her Christianity demands) has experienced it, my brother as well. If my father saw or heard anything he never said anything to me.
There would be a dark presence, chills up spines, whispers in my ear. Literally a solid black apparition in our hallway that made me feel sheer terror most times. It was usually a man's shape but sometimes a hunkered over creature shape, crawling with inhuman speed over our ceiling or running at me and then vanishing at night. Once during a storm it was outside the house, running across the neighbors yard until it was behind a mower on their back patio... Then began running to the fence outside my bedroom window and it was so close I could see it had only indentations where eyes where, like it was just a silhouette of a mannequin. As I saw this I slammed my window and ran fast.
