A lot of my family is from Farmington. My great-grandfather and his wife had a house built there in the 1960s. In the early 90s, my great-grandmother died in the house. My great-grandfather continued to live there for almost 10 more years. One day, he almost burned the house down after forgetting to turn off the stove. He was psychologically evaluated and diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My grandmother placed him in a nursing home, where his older brother

also lived.
In 2000 we took the trip from California to Missouri. It was time to sell the house. I was only 14, but I wanted to help pack and decide

what to keep and what to sell. The first day was just fine, and so was the first night; I slept great, but the second night. I felt someone stroking my hair. When I opened my eyes I saw no one there. I woke up my mom, and she suggested that I go in the living room and watch TV. After that nothing happened.
Then my sister, my two-year-old nephew, and I were in the kitchen making lunch. My nephew had a ball that he was rolling across the floor. Suddenly it rolled
