My husband, our two little boys, and I lived on Canisius in a small three-bedroom house from 1989 to l990, and although I had been raised in a Protestant church I did not have a relationship with Jesus. However, a Pentecostal neighbor had been talking to me about getting saved and reading the Bible and inviting me to her church. I wanted to go, but we had recently moved there and hadn't found a friendly church with decent preaching yet.

I saw a blackish apparition. It was kind of transparent and genderless but evil. I was so scared. I couldn't speak. Then I tried to touch my husband, but I couldn't move. It was a terrifying experience. I did believe that Jesus lived and died to save me and everyone else, so in my head I said ''help me, Jesus. '' I couldn't say anything out loud, and I couldn't move, so this was my last resort. The black apparition disappeared immediately. It had
