I also used to live in Capetown Village, and we were the third family to live there. The owner of the subdivision was terrible, building streets on soft unsettled ground with very little gravel. Our house flooded from a burst water line in the summer, which he failed to redo. Yes, I would say after living there 35 years that Capetown is haunted in several places. There were loud noises, footsteps, bright lights in our bedrooms when we drove up, and even

sparkling lights on the ceiling. My girlfriend at the time saw a man in big overalls downstairs. I heard scary vocal sounds approaching outside that would

make any retreat. A friend died in a car crash, and his girlfriend disappeared never to be seen again. Both in the same month!
Anyway, the builder died of cancer very early on when the subdivision had occupants on the first 2 streets. I might add that I have always been sensitive to ghosts and have been very scared but had no choice but to get used to it, so I did. I have been two feet away from Aggie the Allenton Ramada Inn ghost (I saw the hotel
