The old Elliott farm which had been the Oakes Place in the 1800s and predecessors of the Elliotts out between Humansville and Stockton not far from arnica is not just haunted but possessed. In the broad daylight you can hear things walking around in the woods. After dark when you cannot see anything it is terrifying. In the field north of where the old house used to stand there is an area that you can feel the evil permeating the soil and rocks and trees.

The old lady who used to drive the school bus out that way was born there and said it had always been a bad place. She has been an Elliott. One of her

ancestors Sabrina and her family lived there.
Sabrina's husband was cruel and a bully. He burnt down a barn full of his brother's horses because he was mad. The husband disappeared one night on the way home from Arnica. A search party went out looking, but he couldn't be found until the next day. He and the horse were dead and nowhere near where they should have been. I don't know if he is the awful thing on that place, or if it was already there
